I apologize for shutting down the blog earlier this year, but I feel it was the right decision for me. When I started the blog I had spent some time learning about what a "blog" was, if this was something I wanted to do, and how to do it.
Well, the "how to do it" part cornered me with no where to turn. I realized real fast two things:
1. I didn't like the ready-made templates that came with the weblog management software.
2. I knew absolutely nothing about how to change the structure or design of those templates.
Although the software I use is very versatile and powerful, I had no knowledge about how to take advantage of it. So I decided rather than be stuck with something I didn't like, I would be better off starting all over again AFTER learning a little more about the software and coding.
I'm still learning as I go, but feel I can now split my time between writing topics and redesigning the site. Before, I was overwhelmed with the idea of trying to write regularly while learning the ins and outs of web design.
