A show where the judges explain why they placed the horses where they did? That would really be educational, all the ones I've been to I keep guessing and I frequently get it way off from what they do. (first shall be last and the last first) I usually have no idea why they place them as they do. Sometimes the one's I'd pick as first is way down the line.
I'm probably looking for different things.
Regions: wern't they developed as people from the same general area got together to hold shows and trail rides, and it takes some form of organization to make something happen. So what's wrong with them and what's a viable alternative? I suppose the US being such a large area needs some form of regional organization to hold things together.
The one I'm in has had no organized trail rides this year, ( I suppose because no one stepped up to organize them) I would consider doing it next year if it's not too hard, if there's any interest. Otherwise I'll just attend all the non paso trail rides I can get to.
Congratulations, Jacky, and Bolero! Sounds like you had a wonderful time!
I did not get to see any of the show, but it sure sounds like MY kinda show!!! I like to understand WHY a horse was placed, or not. It is very educational for the spectators. Keeps things from getting boring, at least for me...
Finally, it's all about the horses, our breed, and the need to educate people, the RIGHT way!
Way to go IPHF/ATTA! My hat's off to you!
