Congratulations Southern Regional for a GREAT SHOW!

Also will like to congratulate all winners and participants for supporting the breed in such rough times that our Nation is facing! (a locomotive has no use without the wagons).

They used a new judging system.  The Presidents of Fedequinas and Crines which are hosting the  2009 Confepaso World Cup in the city of Pereira, Colombia in November, were present to check out the new judging system.

The serpentine wasn't used.  I am glad, that was not a serpentine, that was a trail with turns that would not serve any purpose!  KUDOS to the judges that decided that such thing will not serve as an exercise (test), other than a pretty decor in between both sounding boards.

The stallion SHOW CASE was phenomenon!  GREAT STALLIONS, and  something to watch!  They also celebrated the memories of the GREAT STALLION and THE ONLY STALLION that have changed our breed!  THE GREAT "CAPUCHINO"

The judges where the "ELITE"  five judges!  WOW!!!!!!!!!  


The BAD PART! of the SHOW! Embarassed   

It was sad to personally hear (Internet)  embarrassing words against the show, Association and a true disrespect to all members.  That was CARLOS LOPEZ,  how unethical (to say the least)  to tell the world that this show was a disaster and to also say, that the PFHA is in route to be finished.!  His words! PFOBA,  principio de la muerte ( PFOBA the beginning of death) and went on with details, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Shocked

Carlos Lopez if you will like to learn to be a reporter/ media, rule #1 also called Journalism 101, BE  ETHICAL and  RESPECTFUL at all times.  

If I am not mistaken ( and this goes directly to all Southern Regional Members) I was under the understanding Southern Regional had paid that person HOTEL and covered other expenses.  My question is, PAID TO BE destroyed?.... Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes   what is wrong with this people?

I will follow this embarrassing and insulting comment made from C.Lopez with the President of Southern Regional...... and will let everyone know his say!

I got to watch the Stallion exhibition, man I was just in heaven!

And that Robusto de Profeta, I liked him very, very much!  If his owners are known, somebody please extend my admiration!

Of course, I'm thinking Jaranero just gets better looking with age!  And one of my top5 was there, Peterolero! YAY!!!!

Well the SAGA continue!   My question to this man is the following!  

Is he a PASO FINO enthusiast willing to promote this breed in this country, or is he the DEMON destroying this breed with his observe disrespectful comments ALWAYS bashing the PFHA any opportunity he can get!

WELL LOPEZ, if Ben Leon contacted and brought all the higher power to the SHOW!   what does that have to do with anything???????

I am sure being a MUNIDAL year! BESILU took the opportunity to introduce formally is farm and his horses to the HIGHER POWER!  in which I have been told THEY ALL STAYED at his farm!  (weird)

I have also been informed that BESILU sponsored all JUDGES and the SERPENTINE!  a total of $30,000.!  

WELL!  LOPEZ why if all judges where paid and the country is going through rough times!   the SOUTHERN REGIONAL had to charge $105.00 per horse?  when they could have charge all members a much lower rate per horse and would have gotten a better response.  LOPEZ you are forgetting the principles and you are kissing the wrong ass my friend!   Wink      

Here is what that unethical person of LOPEZ is saying!   and truly the PFHA should suspend this individual for life!  since he has been known as the BULLSHIT CREATOR FOR MONEY!

It is a shame to disrespect not only the principal Sponsors of the Ocala Classic but also the public, riders, judges, breeders and owners of the Paso horses that did attend one way or the other at the Ocala Classic.

During many months and thru different communication medias among others the Paso Fino Horse Wold magazine, the official magazine of the PFHA promoted the Ocala Classic announcing the judging system of 5 different judges.

On Friday we all received at the show an information pamphlet about how this new system will be and this is what it exactly says:

"Class Procedures per Division"
Classic Fino Division: Preliminary Round: Classic Fino, halt, Classic Fino, reverse at a Classic Fino, halt, Classic Fino again. The will line up. Each horse will be asked to travel the sounding board twice.

WORK OFF ROUND: each horse will perform an individual test. This test is to be made up of one sounding board, 2 figures eights, back 3 steps then Fino another sounding board and back to the lineup.

COMPARISON ROUND: Classic Fino over the board, halt at the middle then proceed at a Fino and return to the line up at a Fino.

TIE BREAKER ROUND: The horses will go back to the rail, do two reverses, then proceed to the sounding board in one direction and then line up.

Up to here everything sounds good but we find the first surprise, “the serpentine was not included”.

Dr. Barket, president of the SPFHA after receiving complaints about this, immediately contacted the Stuart, the person sent by the PFHA to supervise the show, to ask him about not requesting the SERPENTINE; he stated it will not be performed and threaten with canceling the show validity.

One of the judges, Dr. Jose Laracuente, after being asked for advise on this, he also stated not to perform the Serpentine, ignoring that the system does not say to perform the serpentine neither not to do so.

Dr. Barket immediately contacted the committee’s president Mr. Boby Yunes and he called for votation of the interpretation of the judging system rules; the result, not to perform the Serpentine.


The main show Sponsor of the Ocala Classic, Mr. Benjamin Leon, invited all the main Paso Horse authorities of the world, the President of Confepaso and Fedequinas Dr. Victor Chavarro, the executive president of Fedequinas Mr. Beatriz Salgado, the president of the nest Mundial and Crines in Colombia, Mr. Eduardo Armel, the president of the Abiertos in Puerto Rico, Confepaso secretary and international judge Mr. Willman Rodriquez, and the vice president of the Abiertos, Mr. Nonon Figueroa, all of them to witness the new judging system and to acquire their important opinion about it, finding themselves with the surprise that the distinguished judges Dr. Rolando Colon Nebot, Dr. Miguel Pastrana, Dr. Jose Laracuente, Mr. Alvaro Iriarte and Mr. Nicanor Mirando, were not judging according to the informative pamphlet given to us, neither the way it had been promoted it as it was going to be.

All this was very uncomfortable to the public and for all that had the chance to see the show thru pasofinotv.com

Today, we all ask ourselves this question: is it out there evil minds that wish that our Paso horse gets worse than what it already is here in USA?

Hasta ahi todo muy bien pero nos encontramos con la primera sorpresa "No incluia la serpentina".

El Dr. Barket presidente de la SPFHA luego de recibir varias quejas al respecto, contacto al senor Stuart que envia la PFHA para supervisar los shows, para hacerle la consulta de por que no utilizar la "SERPENTINA" y este se nego rotundamente amenazando con anular la valides del show.

Uno de los jueces, el Dr. Jose Laracuente despues de ser consultado al respecto, tambiem se nego a que se utilizara la Serpentina aludiendo que el reglamento no dice que se utilice pero tampoco dice que no se utilice.

El Dr. Barket contacto al presidente del comite de jueces el senor Boby Yunes y este llamo a una votacion de la interpretacion del reglamento la cual fue votada negativamente a la peticion de permitir la serpentina.

El principal Sponsor del Ocala Classic el senor Benjamin Leon, invito a las principales autoridades del mundo del caballo de paso el presidente de Confepaso y Fedequinas Dr. Victor Chavarro, la Senora presidenta ejecutiva de Fedequinas Beatriz Salgado, el presidente de la proxima mundial y de Crines en Colombia senor Eduardo Armel, el presidente de los Abiertos de Puerto Rico, secretario de Confepaso y juez Internacional, senor Willman Rodriguez y el vice presidente de los Abiertos, senor Nonon Figueroa para que presenciaran el nuevo sistema de juzgamiento y dieran sus opiniones al respecto encontrandose todos con la sorpresa de que los distinguidos senores jueces Dr. Rolando Colon Nebot, Dr. Miguel Pastrana, Dr. Jose Laracuente, Senor Alvario Iriarte y el Senor Nicanor Miranda no estaban llevando a cabo lo explicado en el folleto juzgando con un sistema el cual no era el que se habia promocionado.

Carlos Lopez is a kiss-ass fan boy who will prostitute himself for his own well being.  If anyone believes his shit then they deserve what is coming to them.  No mercy.

Carlos said what he said during PFHA Nationals 2008 because he was asked for and paid by PFHA to televise the show.  Recall it wasn't just a few months before that he was bad mouthing everything about PFHA including demanding the president, Robin Ratliff, to resign.  Suddenly PFHA is the "GREATEST AND BEST HORSE SHOW EVER!" ?

Carlos Lopez has every right to criticize and his comments are not anything especially untoward or uncivilized.  It is not the comments that give me great concern, but the reason for making such comments.  We have a duty to provide input that benefits all those involved with the breed.  Sometimes, this requires creating discomfort and confronting difficult issues.  It may also require opposing popular view.  

Does Mr. Lopez make such comments out of concern for this breed or is he driven by other influences?  He lacks creditability and demonstrates no inclination to substantiate his comments with any thoughtful explanation.  Instead he provokes without just cause or concern for our breed.  

The only benefit I have seen from his actions are for his own profit.  Although it is unfortunate that this has had to become a topic for public viewing, I do support PasoVoice and its decision to bring this out in the open.  

In defense, some have said he promotes the breed in a positive way and "loves" the breed.   I challenge those remarks.   What has Mr. Lopez done in recent years to demonstrate his unselfish devotion to the Paso Fino?  What does he contribute where the breed is the benefactor?

Maybe!  the PFHA should have a NEW RULE for SPONSORS!   to read $5000.00 max per sponsor per show!   That way we can eliminate disputes and prostitutes going for the highest bidder!

Candice!  Thank you for your support!   that is my point!  Lopez decided to bash the entire association because of the dispute between Leon/Serpentine and his$$$$$$ supportive sponsorship.  ALL MEMBERS SHOULD BE TREATED EQUALY!
and all decisions as well!   We have rules and procedures in place for those not in agreement!  FOLLOW THEM!

Leon invites on his own willing and on his money, but i don't think Leon is any official authority of the PFHA  that all the WORLD AUTHORITY should follow his say!  He is a member that contributes greatly like the rest of all members!  some with money other with time and work.

II. General Code of Ethics.
A. Association and USEF Rules. The rules of the Association
and relevant sections of the United States Equestrian Federation,
Inc. (USEF) Rule Book are hereby adopted by reference as part of
this Code of Ethics.
B. Welfare of Breed Paramount. In every situation, the welfare
of the breed shall be paramount over all other considerations. The
best interest of the Paso Fino horse must be the only criterion in all
actions and decisions of all owners, breeders, exhibitors, trainers,
members and employees of the Association.

VII. Violations.
A. General Definition. A violation is any act prejudicial to the
best interest of the Association including, but not limited to, the
following:
1. Acting, inciting or permitting any other person to act in a
manner contrary to the rules of the Association, or in a manner
deemed improper, unethical, dishonest, unsportsmanlike or
intemperate, or prejudicial to the best interest of the Association.
2. Committing any act or making a remark during a show
considered offensive or made with intent to influence or cast
aspersions on the judging.
3. Physical assault upon a person or cruelty to a horse as
defined in USEF Rules.
4. Failure to obey a penalty imposed by the Association.
B. General Penalties. Every member and every nonmember (1)
who violates in any manner the Constitution or rules of the
Association, (2) whose practices in the breeding of Paso Fino horses
or in supplying information for the Association’s records are not in
compliance with these rules, (3) whose conduct has endangered the
good order, welfare or credit of the Association,



The show was espectacular!   Kudos to Southern Regional!
