Should you need additional information please contact: Ed Lafferty (601) 795-0757 or (985) 774-9656 FROM THE PFHA RULE BOOK Rule Changes The Rules Committee shall present all purposed rules to the Board of Directors at a meeting preceding the meeting of the membership during which the membership will vote on the proposed changes. The proponent of the change proposal may be present at the board meeting; and, if present, debate the merit of submission or denial, in such manner and within such time frames as the President may establish. The Board may direct the Rules Committee to include a previously rejected rule change proposal. (page 21,PFHA Rule Book) CHECK YOUR POINTS If you are curious as to where you stand in the point standings, just check the PFHA's website, www.pfha.org First, click on Members at the top of the page. Scroll to Showing. Then, select Points Standing. You can also check Show results via the website by selecting Results instead of Points Standing. Remember that to make sure you have the total amount of points you must add the class points and the championship points together. Micro chipping your horse is a way to identifyyour horse in case of natural disasters, such as hurricanes, tornados or fires. This is also another way your horse can be identified if stolen. ALL horses competing in the VIII Confepaso Mundial to beheld on Nov.7 -11, 2007, in Jacksonville, Florida MUST be micro chipped. The cost of a micro chip is $35. Twenty seven (27) classes and six (6) championships are being offered for Amateur Owners during the Mundial 2007, November 7 - 11 at the Equestrian Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Classes will be offered for Paso Fino (11), Paso Performance (9) and Paso Pleasure (9) in the Open Divisions, including six (6) championships. In all Amateur Owners and Open classes with the exception of geldings, the first two places qualify for the Grand Championships, where a Grand Champion and a Reserve Grand Champion are selected. Ribbons for the first five places will be given in the regular classes and ribbons for the first two places plus blankets for the Grand Champion in the Championship classes. At the last Mundial in 2005 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, 432 horses were registered for the competition. I am positive that with the support of all PFHA members we can easily surpass that number, especially since we have other approved classes like Amateur Owners, Paso Performance and Paso Pleasure. The class schedule has been finalized and is available in the PFHA web site: www.pfha.org . To help the organizing committee, be sure to mention the Mundial when you make your hotel arrangements.
