the only problem here is! the PFHA as not published this yet!
but it was made public by the Piedmont Assc.

First, the issue of the Paso Fino Horse World; two weeks ago at the PFHA Board of Directors meeting in Atlanta it was voted to discontinue the contract with our present publisher. PFHA has lost approximately $40,000 over the last two issues of the magazine and as most of you know the March/April issue did not get out until the last part of April. PFHA is looking at going in-house with the magazine and putting out 12 issues per year. They hope to be able to reduce significantly the advertising rates, which has been a major point of concern under the present publisher. Because of the high advertising rates regions have not been able to advertise their shows in the Paso Fino Horse World as in the past. PFHA has a 90 day cancellation clause with the publisher, so the change will not take effect until later this summer

Ya know...I went to the PFHA.org site yesterday to look up a report, and it was trying to install a Chinese language thing, and my anti-virus popped up and said it had encountered and deleted a trojan. Anyone else have that happen?

I don't know about the mag...I thought it cost too much to do it in-house, but apparently it might be more cost effective to do it that way, in the long run. Wonder if they'll honor the advertising contracts? dunno

many PAso Magazines are being printed in Colombia! or CHINA~~~

maybe that will be the avenue the PFHA will take~ but again, WHO KNOWS???????

But, looking at the bright side,.. I am glad we will have 12 issues versus 6, so, that is an improvement.

PH, that happens sometimes especially with new subscriptions.

When I quit PFHA for a while I had the same problem and then when I let my membership lapse without renewing right away.

Just call the PFHA office and let them know. They are VERY good about sending you back copies and getting you current. Remember they don't control the publisher's actions but they can help, plus send you the magazine.
