2008 NATIONAL SHOW PRIZE LIST NOW

Last week the PFHA Events Dept. mailed a brochure to all members containing information about the upcoming 2008 Grand Nationals Championship Show.
The brochure has the Farm and Class Sponsorship forms. There is also a Prize List order form as well. This year to obtain a Prize List you must send in this form, and one will be mailed to you.
Again, in order
obtain a printed copy
of the Prize List for the 2008 Grand National Show, September 13-20, you need to mail in the Prize List order form that is in the brochure recently mailed to you.
You may also download the Prize List from the PFHA web-site. We will notify you via E-News when the Prize List is posted.
DON'T MISS OUT ON THE FARM DIRECTORY

If you haven't called to have your farm listed in the new Farm Directory, you should do so immediately. Call Kelly at the PFHA office now. (813-719-7777)
This is the only PFHA publication that is mailed out with farm listings.
We will print 30,000, and they will be sent out over the next two years to equine shows and to people who call or write asking for information on the Paso Fino breed.

The Youth Mundial Will be Held July 13-20, 2008

The show has been moved to Medellin, Colombia. The Dominican Republic was not able to fulfill the responsibility so Confepaso voted to move it to Colombia.There is some interest among our youth and their families to represent the US at this international competition. In order to select the US team, the PFHA youth committee has set the qualifying workshop/show for the following date and locations:

There will be only 6 members from each
age group. The girls and boys are divided
as follows: Girls and Boys will compete
separately. Ages 4-6, 6-8, 9-11,
12-14, 15-17, and 18-24.

The coaches will be taking video of all the
riders at the tryouts in the event that wehave more than 6 kids in one category to choose from. We will try to make arrangements so that we can travel as a team from Miami and all through the week in Colombia.

All parents and youth who make the team will have to have a valid passport to travel.

USEF ANNOUNCES 2008 APPLICANT STEWARDS' CLINIC SESSIONS

Lexington, KY- The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) has established a goal of providing more accessible applicant clinic sessions to be held during the 2008 competition year for individuals interested in becoming a licensed steward with the Federation. Two applicant sessions will accompany the continuing education clinic for Category 1 and Category 2 stewards.

The remaining applicant sessions will be one-day each and will be held in differing geographic areas as listed:

March 27-30, 2008 - Dana Point, CA (applicant day is the 27th)
April 8, 2008 - Lake St. Louis, MO (applicants only)
May 15-18, 2008 - Lexington, KY (applicant day is the 15th)
May 24, 2008 - Raleigh, NC (applicants only)

Attendance at any of the one-day applicant only clinics will partially fulfill the clinic requirements of the Steward Training Program.

TVPFHA Regional Show will be held April 18-20, 2008 in the Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, Tn. Bring your stallion's offspring and include them in your exhibition, plus compete in classes. The Stallion Showcase will be held during the Saturday evening program. Each stallion will have up to 3 minutes for exhibition. The exhibition fee is $25 with multiple stallions discounts available.
