Any focus on anything particular....?

A great number of topics were discussed from the National show to the website to judging to trail riding to the magazine to RFDTV to CONFEPASO and the ATTA. Much too much for me to report on all of it today so any specific questions would be great. The selection of National Show judges is as follows:
Rick Shaffer
Donald Schanche
Alice Page
Wilman Rodriguez
Angelo Usategui
Alternates are Jorge Torres and Luis Laguna Mimoso
If there are any other specific areas that anyone wants to know about, I would be happy to answer as I am able. Overall it was a great meeting in which a lot was accomplished and my opinion is that the Association is on the right track with appropriate people working on many areas to imporve and grow the Association and the breed.

Great!
Will they be showing new stuff now? Also, any idea if they're going to air any footage from the 2007 Nats show?

They are supposed to be making new shows every week but I have no idea the subject matter.

Any discussion of making show records available on the website?

That is in the works. Lew Haines has done an amazing job in his effort to revamp the website. His gameplan is very good. Hopefully we will have the money to implement it soon.

Great!
Was there any mention of the controversy over the tail cutting rule that was implemented?

In my opinion, there was no controversy!, the rule was passed by a large margin.
Have you seen the voting results?
Here are the results!
Specifically pertaining to the rule change concerning tail alterations. Anyone may download the current rules at http://pfha.org. They are available in Spanish and English.
A quorum must be present, which is 30% of the members.
A constitutional change requires 2/3 majority vote.
The total eligible votes was 6238. The quorum required was 1872. Through delegates, proxies, and members present, there was 5176 available votes. 2/3 majority was 3451. Absentee voting is NOT allowed. A member must find another member, which will be PRESENT during the meeting to vote by proxy. Of the total eligible votes, 3 officers, 7 members, and 17 delegates were present during the convention in Puerto Rico. Only 5 members voted by proxy.
Current Rule: Constitution, Article II, Section H, page 2
Mane, tail, and forelock are as long, full, and luxurious as nature can provide. Not artificial additions or alterations are allowed. A bridle path not exceeding 4" is acceptable.
Proposed Rule:
Mane, tail, and forelock are as long, full, and luxurious as nature can provide. Not artificial additions are allowed. A bridle path not exceeding 4" is acceptable.
The rule passed. Absentee voting is not allowed. A member is allowed to vote by proxy or must be present. 7 members were present for the vote; 5 members voted by proxy. 7 regions were not present; 1059 members were not represented from those regions. The vote is as follows (by region):

No. As Felix stated, there was no controversy. The rule was presented and voted on in a very democratic fashion. There is really no need for discusion about it.

I didn't mean a controversy over the vote but over what some members were saying. Wasn't trying to start anything.

I know you weren't, PH. The truth is that while people will get all stirred up from the comfort of their living rooms or offices, most are not willing to do more than badmouth those who actually volunteer their time to the Association. So, no, there is noone who cared enough to go to either this meeting or any of the other meetings that they could have attended since the rule change was published in order to speak out against the change.
