O-M-G!! I SURVIVED and EVERYONE else did too!!!Picture this....last week or so my colt gets gelded, the next day or so my gelding comes up super lame...thank goodness it did end up to be a stone bruise but to see him hobble around you would swear it had to be an absess trying to work it's way out...we're talkin SUPER wuss.SO i'm treating both of them KNOWING my pregy dane is going to be having her babies soon soon soon THEN one of my two beautiful sweet rex rabbits manages to seriously hurt a leg...and I am thinkin WHAT in the H-E-double L is going on!!! Not one thing wrong with anyone for soo long and without changing a thing WHAM!! So,now it's Thursday and Mijo's swelling is doing alot better and Paco is barely lame and I can tell now that it had to be a stone bruise afterall AND Thumbalina's leg isn't great but doing alot better and definitely on the mend. WHEW!! Talk about keeping a person worried and busy, FINALLY i'm gonna get a break, right? WRONG...Miss Mini Pearl's Girly Girl goes into labor Friday soooo knowing i'm in for a looong worryful, neurotic, sleepless weekend I set up camp in my birthing room. Pups start coming at 7am Sat. morning. The first three...are breach and require assistance. At 5pm I go out to care for all of the outside guys, come back in and we've had another merle...that makes seven pups and I know she's still got some in there. It is >> 3:45am <<now and the one that has seemed stuck for a long time now FINALLY makes it out with my assistance..it's another merle,ALIVE and STRONG!!!,and a female and then YOWZA...the next two,a black and a merle just about FLY outta there one right after the other. She starts pushing and I can see there is another but then she decides to rest a while before having it. It's now just about 5am and here she comes, another merle female. She is the last and that makes 11,all born healthy looking strong alive and well squalling&balling and everyone has nursed.#1 thru 8 all got their temperary names as they came but #9 thru 11 had to wait till today. And as ragged as I look and feel I did let some SUPER excited new parents come see and pick their new baby out so two baby girls and two baby boys already have human parents planing to shower them with lots of love !!! One of those baby girls, the only harlequin, will be our very own !!!
So,all at once, everyone at almost-a-farm is doing much better after just about giving me a coranary and now>I< get >my< turn to get a nap
.3 blacks-2males1female,1harlequin-female,7merles-bunch of boys and girls.1black,1 harl,and 1merle male,and 1 merle female already picked out.Your friend,Moniece

Hey, Moniece ... didn't realize you were "here"! Hi!
What is going ON at your palce? From the colours you mentioned, are these ... Shelties? ELEVEN in the litter?!? That doesn't sound like a very Sheltie-ish thing to do. (More of an Akbash thing, but Akbash only come in one colour: white.)
And this new gelding ... a Paso?
Apparently I am waaaaaaay behind. You'll have to bring me up to speed.

Congratulations Mo! I'm happy everyone at your place is doing so well. Is 11 a "normal" number for a litter of Danes? I had a dog one time who delivered 11, and she had to keep them divided in two different places, so they all could eat enough. It will take a lot of effort on your part, to see that Mom gets great food and plenty of rest to feed all of those little mouths! Send photos!!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Moniece has ELEVEN baby GREAT DANES?
Oh, man! Moniece, can I come see your babies in about 2 months? Can I come see YOU in about 2 months? (I'm thinking that by then you ought to be just about bald from tearing your hair out! *big fat grin*)

LOL bald LOL? Not I because this is the third litter and this time i'm good and ready for 'em. i've got a big and TALL chain link dog kennle that mom and babies can go out in durring the day if I decide to let them by then since it's already getting warm here and i've got a used playpen being given to me and then I have two baby gaits to block them in the hall from the room for each room cleaning once the buggers start moving around. !!! Now if you had come about then durring the first or even the second litter THEN you would have definitely got to see me pulling my hair out...but not for too awful long since I compile a waiting list after the last pup is spoken for at the end of each litter and get my AD in the local and relatively local newspapers. No farting around going on here,by at very minimum, six weeks old everyone has a new home to go to and it's so cool to get to call the new parents and hear their excitement when I tell them they can come pick their new baby up and even more awesome to get to see it when they get here!! I welcome and encourage the new moms and dads to come visit their new baby as much as they can in the meantime so by the time so and so can go home they know eachother and are already attached ! Each litter is ALOT of work for me but then again this is my only job/business and I love it most of the time so that makes me pretty lucky and even with selling my pups very reasonable to people I aprove of I can still net a pretty penny for my work.Your friend,Moniece
I have pics now if someone can resize and post them for me !!
