2 new girls

Nobody has commented on the luchatrechia markings on the mare. I have a capuchino daughter that has these unusual markings and we came to understand that this was something coming from Contropunto. With the bloodlines you have, this doesn't make sense anymore...so where is the luchatrechia coming from?

Fino Fino,  Professional just posted a very interesting topic in reference the markings, hope you enjoy as I did!

Congratulations on your new adquisitions Denisse, with a little T.L.C. they would look much prettier of what they are right now. Good lines too. You and my compadre Ramon are bringing some good lines to preserve in U.S. That what I call in spanish... Enconmeable!

I like the fact that finofino1234 noticed the white markings on Denisse's mare and in order to share some info on the subject without interfering with the topic here, that are those two excellent bloodline ppr mares... I took the liberty to open a new topic on the subject in this forum. Hope it can help us understand better the theory of how these white spotted marks appear on some horses' coats. They are generally called "Bird Catcher" and it's believed it's caused by a sabino gene mutation.

Thanks for sharing the info Pro.

They are also called "Bend Or" markings in the thoroughbred industry.  The term is used often in English to describe the markings.

Bend Or was a famous TB that had the markings and his line still produces it on occasion.  No one seems to know how Bend Or inherited his markings, so what you shared may explain it.
