Hussein????????????

Seriously, any info, pictures, video, stories, opinions, tidbits of anykind, as well as any offspring to share info about, please post.

I haven't even heard whether he's still with us or not, if he is, who has him?

If he's still around, can I see him November 2009?
britzlove

He'd only be 18.

Here's his interesting pedigree.

For Britz

A little brain teaser to get you going.

I thought Hussein had very good paso fino mechanics and his movements are so soft and fluid.  I thought one of the better Terremoto sons.  Funny because his color is allot like his dad's and so is the way he gaits.   I'm not keen on the thick neck but otherwise I really liked him.

Well here's the teaser:

Hussein's dam has something in common with earlier horses imported to the USA.  I can't confirm all of the links but just for fun here's two hints: El Zipa and Oro Negro.   If you get ambitious, look at Dante as well.  The bottom lines crossed with two other lines on the top: One that has been present since the earlier years in the USA and the second introduced back in the early to mid 80's.   The second line comes from a famous family.

I think the cross makes for very well gaited horses.

I'm not sure how to follow the bloodline crossing, I'll keep trying.

What I love about him though, is the electricity in his gait on the video, not the speed of gait, but the high power in the hocks and feet, dunno how exactly to explain.

In his sons I've seen, and him, I like that head attachment, the high upright lines made.  I see his crest is fallen in second photo, and the neck is pretty thick, but the bone underneath, the way it meets the wither and what support it creates for the front end.  He's got essentially the same rear end as the the other Terremotto horses, which when standing appears strange to me, but in motion, creates something beautiful.

Then, add to that that the two sons and now daughter I've seen, have the same stuff, well, that's what I like.

Where is he? How can I see him?
BigJ

LOL!  That is the "quickness", the real McCoy!    I'm guessing you mean the nice snappiness in his movements.

Here is a clip of Don Fabio Ochoa!  you will be able to appreciate Rescate and Terremoto de Manizales!

I personally liked the horse very much indeed! I had the pleasure of being very close to Hussein when John Jairo Ortiz (Edgar Ortiz brother from United Paso Fino) had him. Many said that he was a lazy horse, I will say, he was a horse that never had a good training, like many others I have seen.

Here is a picture of a mare that Winning Colors had or still have (need to check on that)

How likely do we think that this might be a possibility for a farm tour when Pasovoice team heads down?

please, PM me the email, I will email him, though I have yet to hear back from anyone I've ever emailed in Spanish.

We'll work on it, I wonder what else he has there, Hussein babies? Other Studs?  Could be cool!
