Yep, knew that ... but what most don't know is that COOKING that olive oil reduces its beneficial attributes significantly ... and, cooked or not, olive oil adds a LOT of calories to one's diet.

Gotta watch it.

I use it to oil my leather too. It will cause the leather to darken, so watch out. On saddles and bridles I really love it. For my rawhide I use pure beef tallow.

In comparison, olive oil is one of the best oils to cook with.
