Hello Felix,
Yes, I have been in contact with the Feria Dulce Sueno committee. They are meeting in January (I'm sure it will be after Jan. 6th) to discuss plans for the show scheduled March 6th-8th in Guayama, P.R. home of Dulce Sueno.
They have provided www.pureprpasofinos.com with a basic schedule at this time which is posted on the website. Go to the 2009 Dulce Sueno page and click on Feria Schedule. We will be posting more info on the show as we get it.
Farm tours coordinated by www.pureprpasofinos.com are also scheduled for March 4th and 5th prior to the show. More upcoming information on the tours can also be viewed on the website.
Hope you can attend!

Here is the Art for the ad that came out in our magazine. The ad was designed by Paso Fino a Puerto Rican Breed with the collaboration of Jose Vivo who provided the drawing of the horse.

Isn't Jose Vivo the artist that also owns, breeds, and shows Puros?
If I recall, he focuses on the older lines that have the loud sabino markings.

That's correct Big J ... Jose Vivo is a respectable Artist he is also an arquitect and he owns Barbaroja de Kofresi II ...

Well the thread is titled 2009 Dulce Sueno Fair.
Are we in the right place?
Caliber, as I understand it, the DSFair is put on by a private entity and not through any particular registry, but I'm only guessing.
LOL! then we wonder why the paso fino market is declining...must everything associated with this breed be kept secret?
When someone learns the pass code or handshake to let us in...

Wow, that image is spectacular. Are they doing posters of it -- I'd buy one!!

I agree! The artwork is fantastic! I'd love to see more of his artwork.

The DSF is organized by The Dulce Sueno Inc. a private organization. It's President is Rafael Terraza and the board of Directors is comprised of Mr. Jose Vivo, Mr. Hostos Gallardo, Mr. Lorenzo Beiro, Mr. Eduardo Martin and some other people I can't remember.
The dates are set from the 6th - 8th of March. Friday 6th is for Caballos de Pueblo ... and Sat and Sunday is Paso Fino ... Needless to say is the most prestigous Paso Fino Fair in the World.

That's what I've being saying all the time; promoters let everything for the last minute. People need to know way in advance to make arrangements to assist those activities; we’re in the 21 century, the hastiest of all.

Pro,
I found a quote, which describes it perfectly:
"Delay is the deadliest form of denial."
I can only guess what it is that is being denied.

I’ll tell ya this, that’s a heck of a quote! Totally true, and by the way, I also like the quote in your signature.
I bet, and I never bet, that if you combine these two quotes; something with a lot of essence will come out of it. In your own words, I mean… give it a try!
About the DS fair, I’m compelled to say that I personally know a few members of the board of directors. They are respectable, responsible persons; if this event would’ve been promoted the way it should have… we would be very much ahead in planning trips, hotel accomodations, and everything else that this event includes. I’m sure it has to do with some other factors.
I could point out a few ideas to make sure this lateness won't happen
again but, it has been my experience that someone else comes along, takes the idea, and since they lack the thing that gives birth to that idea, everything ends up in the same place that it started. I don’t give two pennies if someone takes my ideas as if it were their own, as it has happened, but as long as they fulfill the purpose for what that idea was conceived.
Otherwise it's like a sign of bad intentions, like I say “ni hacen ni dejan hacer”, it means that they don’t do anything or allow anyone else to do. That’s what I think is going on this year with the DS fair. Unfortunately, the breed is the one who pays the consequences; “nadie sabe lo que hay en el horno sino el que lo cocina”, it means, nobody knows what is in the oven but the one who cooks it.
Somebody may say that this thing shouldn’t be ventilated other than home, but this is what forums are for, to discuss issues that you can’t discuss or argue, alleger or simply have voice and vote on the matter. They consider it as internal affairs because like your quote say, they’re in denial; and when I say “they”, I mean any paso fino organization.
