I just want to share with you something interesting ... Recently a DNA genetic lab in FL completed a series of DNA tests for a Pure Puerto Rican Stallion by the name of Reliquia de Relicario (Relicario x Estrella de Arko) to determine his true color. The name of the Lab is Aninal Genetics Inc. www.animalgenetics.us
The owner of the stallion, Mr José Roig, sent hair of his stallion and surprisingly the lab couldn't determine the true color of the horse ... They did in excess of 10 different tests and all of them came back negative ... or not a match. Among some of the tests the did were;
1. Gray - negative results ...
2. Champagne Dillution - negative results ...
3. Tobiano - negative results ...
4. Cremello - negative results ...
5. Pearlino - negative results ...
As soon as I have more information I will let you know, but they believe the horse may have a gene called "mutant white dominant" for which there is no test as of yet ...
Anyways this means that the color coat of this stallion is extremely exotic and the cientific world can't determine what his true color is ...
And here is a picture of one of his daughters ... (He has produced 3 offpsrings, one is a buckskin and 2 are identical to him ...
And another pic of Reliquia's sister on his sire's side
