All fees must be paid in advance/no stall assignment will be given until payment has been received. Stalls will be assigned on a first come/first served basis

Friday Mares, Saturday Stallions,
Sunday Championships.

The Judging System
All classes will be judge using F1/F2 Judging Systems.
1) Horses will enter Arena PFHA Style (Counter clockwise)
2) During the 1st Phase, horses will work the rail, do at least 2 fino boards (additional boards optional) and do a minimum of 3 reverses.
3) Judges will confer during the initial F1 Phase in order to determine horses that will go to the F2 Phase.
4) In the F2 portion, horses will perform the following individual work-off.
The Classic Fino Open classes will do:
a) Two (2) Figure 8’s in one direction and two (2) figure 8's in the opposite direction, stop and back-up.
b) Serpentine in both directions
c) One (1) board in each direction, for a total of two (2) boards
The Pleasure, Performance Open Classes and Amateur Classes will only do:
a) Serpentines in both directions
b) One (1) board in each direction, for a total of two (2) boards
5) In the event of a tie for any placement. Judges will perform any or all of the following test to break the tie:
a) Work the horses side by side up & down arena.
b) Request horses to do up to three (3) reverses.
c) Request horses to do up to two(2) boards in any direction.
d) Request horses to do more figure 8
e) Request horses to proceed to the board stop, and proceed to the board again. (Maybe ask to stop more than once)
6) Once all finalist have completed their individual work-off they will return to the rail as a group.
7) Each judge will send there placement for tabulation without conferring.
Results will be announced and the judges will address the spectators in both English and Spanish.
9) Championships will be worked in the same manner.
Horses can be disqualified for:
1) Lameness 2) Rearing straight up 3) Improper Tack (By the Prepista) 4) Lack of gait 5) Improper manners in the ring
6) Improper manner by the rides. 7) Excessive tail swishing.
The Rules of the Show.
1) Show Attire: White Shirt, Black Trousers & White Straw Hat – Jackets permitted.
2) All Competing horses must wear shoes front and back.
3) All the horses will be announced as to name, breeding, owner, trainer and original breeder, if available
4) For the March 28-30, 2008 show we will use modified Confepaso Assoc age groupings for all classes, as provided by the CLASS SCHEDULE. Horse’s birth date are as of March 28, 2008. We will use PFHA rules for equipment.
5) All entries eligible for Championship classes will not be charged an entry fee.
6) The Top three (3) placements in Amateur and Open Classes must compete in the Championship classes to retain class placements and prize money.
7) Horses winning prize money will be drug tested via blood and urine samples
All Youth under the age of 13 must wear proper head gear
9) Minimum age for competing in Amateur classes will be 13 years, as of March 28, 2008.
10) Amateur classes are open for any rider, the rider does not need to be owner of the horse, the only requirements is that of the age and that they are not a professional trainer - MPFGP reserve the right to refuse anyone in a Amateur Class who they have reason to deemed a Professional trainer.
Miami Paso Fino Grand Prix reserves the right to make changes up to the date of the show.
