Tesoro is the perfect “all around” horse. He has been ridden extensively on trails since he was 3 and goes with the group, but has the confidence and willingness to go alone. This horse will do ANYTHING that you ask of him. He is friendly and very people-oriented and is no problem to catch in the pasture. “T” gets along well with other horses of any sex and/or age. He is good with the vet and farrier and will permit his teeth to be floated without a tranquilizer. He is up to date on all shots and worming, his feet are trimmed regularly (he never requires shoes), and his teeth were done a few months ago.
T is a trot/gallop Paso, which means he moves the same as other horses but his ride is very smooth and you can sit his trot very comfortably and not have to post.
T would make an excellent 4H animal as he loves children and is extremely versatile. I would recommend him for an advanced beginner rider. He is kind and gentle but he also like to GO! Tesoro would be good at barrel racing and pole bending also. I have done this with him at a slow canter and he cuts those barrels with the best of them! He side passes with ease and grace, and will side pass moving forward from one side to the other and his back up is awesome. He also turns on the forehand and pivots on his hindquarters, and will do a reining spin. He loves to show off!
